Website design for sauna builders

We build websites for sauna companies that answer the questions buyers ask before the first phone call: which model, which heater, what it costs and when it can stand on the plot. Our bilingual demo is Löyly Works, a fictional builder in Tampere.

Löyly Works is a fictional sauna builder in Tampere, Finland, created by VirtueInfo to show what we build. Designed and developed by our team.

What sauna buyers need from a builder's website

People who search for a sauna builder usually fall into one of three groups. A homeowner wants a sauna in a garden that has none and needs to know the size, the rough cost, whether a permit is involved and how long the work takes. A cottage owner is replacing an old shoreline sauna and cares about rock foundations, wood-burning stoves and whether a truck can reach the plot or a boat is needed. A third group only wants a sauna for a weekend: a birthday, a summer party or a work event.

Each of them compares models carefully. They look at seats, heater type, room volume and what a price includes before they ask for a visit. So the website has to lay out the models side by side, explain the build in plain language, help size the heater, show which towns you cover and turn interest into a quote request or a rental enquiry with the details you need.

How the Löyly Works demo handles it

Löyly Works is a fictional business that VirtueInfo created for this demo. It is not a client, and its phone number, business ID and prices are placeholders. The whole site runs in English and Finnish, and every page has a language switch in the floating navigation bar.

The home page shows five models, from a two-seat indoor module to a six-seat lakeside sauna with a terrace, then explains the four steps from site visit to first heating and compares wood-burning stoves with electric heaters. A short FAQ closes the page.

The signature feature is the comparison table on the models page. Visitors filter it to wood-burning, electric or five seats and more, and sort it by price, seats or name. Each row shows outer size, seats, heater output, room volume and the "from" price, with a note on what the price includes. The Tupa model has a page of its own with measurements, a floor plan, the included items and popular options such as a glass gable wall or a water tank on the chimney.

The specifications page lists all five models in one table, from wall build-ups to power needs and foundations. Below it, a heater sizing calculator takes the room's length, width and height plus any glass or masonry area and returns the room volume and a suggested electric heater output.

The quote form picks up the model from the link the visitor clicked, so a "Request a quote for Tupa" button opens the form with Tupa selected. A summary card beside the form updates live with the model, heater, options and sample price. The form also asks about the ground, the timing and whether a delivery truck can reach the spot.

The rental page describes the trailer sauna and what comes with it, then offers a date-range enquiry. As soon as both dates are set, the page shows the number of nights and a sample estimate.

Local SEO built in

Every page carries schema.org HomeAndConstructionBusiness markup with the city, phone and opening hours. The models page adds Product markup for each sauna with its price and specifications, and the installation and rental pages describe each service with the towns it covers. The home page has FAQ markup.

The installation page lists the municipalities around Tampere by name, which gives search engines and visitors the same clear service area. Page titles follow local searches, such as "garden sauna Tampere" and "mobile sauna rental Tampere", with Finnish equivalents on the Finnish pages. The name, phone and area match what you would enter in your Google Business Profile.

Illustrations are drawn in SVG and fonts are self-hosted, so pages stay light on a phone at the cottage. The Löyly Works pages carry no search listing because the company is fictional; a live sauna builder site gets a sitemap, canonical URLs and a Search Console property instead. A client site launches fully indexable, with language alternates, a sitemap and canonical tags.

Notes for each market

Finland

Finnish is the main language for most buyers, with Swedish expected along the coast and English for international customers. Show your business ID (Y-tunnus) in the footer and prices in euros including VAT for consumers.

USA

American buyers search for outdoor saunas, barrel saunas and sauna kits, and they measure in feet. Spell in US English, and say clearly whether electrical work and permits sit with you or the homeowner.

Canada

Cold-plunge and cottage culture make saunas an easy fit in Canada. Show both metric and imperial sizes, and plan a French version if you deliver into Québec.

Australia

Australian buyers often want an outdoor sauna for a backyard and ask about bushfire conditions where wood-burning stoves are concerned. Use British spelling, prices in Australian dollars including GST, and clear notes on which heaters suit which sites.

India

In India saunas are usually sold to hotels, gyms, spas and premium homes. Prices in rupees with GST shown, a WhatsApp button for enquiries and a clear note on after-sales service suit these buyers.

What we deliver and how the project runs

We design the site to your brand and fill it with your real models, measurements and photographs or drawings. The comparison table, sizing calculator and quote form are set up with your own data and rules. Quote and rental requests go to your email, a WhatsApp number, your CRM or your booking system.

After launch we hand over the site with training on updating models and prices, and we can look after hosting and changes through our maintenance service. The calculators and forms are built under our custom application development service.

Send us your model list and the area you cover through our contact page, and we will reply with a quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the website be in Finnish, Swedish and English?

Yes. The demo runs in English and Finnish, with every page in both languages and a switch in the navigation bar. A Swedish version follows the same structure, and each language gets its own page titles and search markup. We work from your Finnish copy or help you prepare it.

How does the heater sizing calculator work?

The visitor enters the inside length, width and height of the sauna room, plus the area of any glass or uninsulated masonry. The calculator adds extra volume for those surfaces and suggests an electric heater output in kilowatts. For wood-burning stoves it points the visitor to the stove maker's recommended room volume. The rule it uses can be adjusted to match how your team sizes heaters.

Can we take bookings for a rental sauna trailer on the site?

The demo collects a start and end date, the place, the number of guests and the occasion, and shows a sample price for the number of nights. Requests over two weeks are asked to call instead. On a live site the request can go to your email or your booking system, and we can show booked weekends as unavailable if your calendar allows it.

Should a sauna builder publish prices?

Most buyers want a rough figure before they invite anyone to their plot, so the demo shows a "from" price per model that includes delivery and assembly within a set distance. Foundations, electrical work and options are quoted separately after a site visit. If you prefer not to publish figures, the comparison table and quote form work without them.
