Website design for real estate developers

We build developer websites that answer the buyer's first questions about carpet area, price and possession before the first phone call. To show how, we built a working demo for Saptak Developers, a fictional developer in Indore.

Saptak Developers is a fictional real estate developer in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, created by VirtueInfo to show what we build. Designed and developed by our team.

What buyers need from a developer's website

A buyer looking at a new flat arrives with a short list. They want the carpet area of each home type, a "from" price, the possession date and the RERA registration. They want to see a floor plan with room sizes before they spend a Sunday driving to the site.

The audience splits in a few ways. First-time buyers care about the monthly EMI more than the headline price. Families moving up want a 3 BHK near good schools and a date they can plan a move around. NRIs and parents in other towns cannot visit every month, so they want a video walk-through and regular photos of the site.

So a developer's site has to do specific jobs. It must present each project at its real stage, give floor plans that match the agreement, let buyers work out a rough instalment, show registrations openly and turn interest into a booked site visit.

How the demo handles it

Saptak Developers is a fictional company that VirtueInfo created for this demo. It is not a client. Its phone number, registrations, reviews and prices are samples, and the building illustrations are marked as artist's impressions.

The home page opens with four facts: home types, carpet area range, the lowest "from" price and the RERA slot. Below it, three projects sit side by side, each tagged with its stage: under construction on Super Corridor, ready to move on Khandwa Road, and a new launch in Bicholi Mardana. A six-step section walks through buying, from the site visit to booking, agreement, home loan, monthly construction photos and possession with a snag check.

The Projects page gives each project its tower count, floors, amenities, possession target and registration. A box below lists what the price includes in writing: a cost sheet before booking, payments linked to construction stages and a specification sheet attached to the agreement.

The signature feature is the floor-plan explorer. Tabs switch between 1, 2 and 3 BHK homes, and each tab shows a drawn plan, a table of room sizes, the carpet area in square feet and square metres, and the exclusive balcony listed separately. A button under each plan copies its price into the EMI estimate below, where the buyer moves sliders for down payment, interest rate and tenure. The result shows the monthly figure, loan amount and total interest, with a clear note that the bank sets the real terms.

The Site Visit page asks for a name, a 10-digit mobile number, a project, a date and a time slot,. Visitors from abroad can ask for a video walk-through instead.

Local SEO built in

Every page carries schema.org structured data for a HomeAndConstructionBusiness with the sales office area, opening hours and the city served. Each project is marked up as an ApartmentComplex, and each home type as an Apartment with its floor size.

Page titles follow how people search in the city: "1, 2 and 3 BHK flats in Indore" on the home page, "residential projects in Indore" on Projects, and "book a free site visit in Indore" on the visit page. Locality names such as Super Corridor and Khandwa Road appear as plain text. The office name, phone and hours match what you would enter in your Google Business Profile.

The demo has no photographs at all. The skylines and floor plans are drawn in code, and the fonts are self-hosted, so pages load fast on a mid-range phone. Search engines are told to skip the Saptak Developers demo. When we build for a real real estate developer, the site is indexable from launch, with canonical tags and a sitemap in place.

Notes for each market we serve

India

The demo is written for India: Indian English, prices in lakh, carpet area quoted as defined under RERA and a WhatsApp button in the header. Buyers often pay the booking amount by bank transfer or UPI, and the site can say which methods you accept. We can add Hindi or a regional language version.

USA

We switch to American spelling, dollars and square feet, and frame homes as condos or townhomes. Buyers there look for HOA fees, school districts and model home hours, so those take the place of carpet area and RERA. Your brokerage or builder licence details go in the footer where your state expects them.

Canada

We use Canadian spelling, Canadian dollars and a layout built around presale releases, deposit structures and occupancy dates. Projects in Québec get a full French version. New home warranty and builder registration details can sit on every project page, as RERA does in the demo.

Australia

We write in Australian English with prices in Australian dollars and display your ABN in the footer. Off-the-plan buyers expect floor plans with internal and external areas listed separately, which the explorer already does with balconies. Display suite hours replace the site visit slots.

Finland

We build in Finnish, Swedish and English, with prices in euros. Buyers compare the debt-free price, the share of housing company loan and the monthly maintenance charge, so the estimate tool can show those instead of an EMI. Your business ID goes in the footer.

What we deliver and how the project runs

We design to your brand and your projects, not the Saptak look. We write the copy with your sales team from your real cost sheets, approved plans and registration documents, and redraw the floor plans from your architect's files.

Site visit requests and enquiries go where your team already works: email, WhatsApp or your CRM, tagged by project so the right person calls back.

At hand-over you get the code, the hosting setup and a short guide for adding a project or a floor plan. We build this kind of site as custom application development, so tools like the EMI estimate are written for your projects rather than bolted on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the website show the RERA registration for each project?

Yes. The demo has a slot for the promoter registration in the footer and a separate project registration on every project card. On a live site each number links to the state RERA portal, so a buyer can check it in one click. When a new phase gets its own registration, adding it is a short edit.

Will buyers trust an EMI calculator on a developer's site?

They will if it is labelled plainly. The demo calls it an estimate, says the rate is a sample and states that the bank decides the loan amount and rate. It also lists stamp duty, registration and GST as separate costs. That candour tends to earn more enquiries than a figure that looks too good.

How do floor plans get onto the site?

We redraw each plan from your architect's drawings as a light vector image, with room names and sizes as real text. That keeps the page quick on a phone and lets search engines read the room sizes. The agreement for sale still carries the final drawing, and the site says so.

Can the site serve NRI buyers and parents in other cities?

Yes. The demo site visit form asks where the visitor is coming from, and choosing "abroad" offers a video walk-through instead of a visit. The buying steps mention monthly site photos on WhatsApp. We can add time-zone friendly call slots and a page on documents NRI buyers usually need.
